Quando gli uomini diventano leggende......
Wow time's go best day of my life
Tellement différent du motocross " formule 1 " de nos jours ... et tellement mieux !!
Proper natural track just up the road from me. Scrambling at its best with proper bikes 🏁
RD dx 400 ❤❤
THE BAD BOY OF SUPERCROSS. A LEGEND. OLD SCHOOL HERE. GOOD MEMORIES. GOOD TIMES. MISS THE 80S.
2.8125 minutes per lap. That's cooking...
Andre Malherbe comes across really well. Such a nice guy.
Most people don't understand just how much power these 500's have. It's like riding a rodeo horse for an hour or more. Riding a bucking bronco is only a few seconds and those guys get beaten up bad.
I was there all weekend 😊
Marty Smith my moto hero. The photos from MX Action back in the 70s, so good.
Love keith R.I.P electronic love liam love maxim love prodigy ❤❤❤❤
Thorpe only passed 26 riders in one lap!!
Those Suzuki’s were the bike to be on back then👍🏼
I had this on video for years , you can’t beat Murray Walker commentating 👏🏻
Micky Dymond gave me his jersey that night.
I was wondering how long the track was and I guessed a real long one at around 3kms. Just looked it up and it’s says it’s 2.9kms. It may have been longer in 1986?
One of the old school tracks loved driving up to hodnet to watch talent like that.nt a police escort in sight or trouble like football has.and they taint us with the bad brush.sad that.
I loved the Howard stern show, but I hate Marci Turk for what she did to it. I don’t listen anymore and haven’t for years
I was there!!! Awesome day Dave Thorpes comeback from last place was stunning. Crowd went nuts!!
I love the old fenders from that era. Currently restoring an '88 KX 250. Can't wait to rip it!
That 500 Brrrrrraaappp , proper athletes racing these bikes
Brian lunnis was a great mechanic but i don't do well with riding angry. Im more guy cooper than bob hannah. I chill lol
Stanton is the epitome of strength on a dirt bike.
I use to Hangout at Supercross in California in 2005-2006, I was a”Friend” of Tyler Evans’s, So I totally…… get your lingo. Well Done, completely Well Done and yes you made me laugh. Thanks, for reminding me of the Great times I Had, with Friends, that I can no longer hang with, except in my memories of Younger, totally Blessed lives, I was the go to Security Guy. NSWF/ 1/5 SFR Knight.
Unfortunately, I wasn't there, but I actually remember watching this live on World of Sport. Always thought it was cool that Kurts Dad was commentating. I used to work for a company in Hertfordshire, and we got our Argon/CO2 Gas from the Nicolls. Nice family. Anyhoo, still being a huge MX fan to this day, I've often speculated, what it would look like, with that exact race, but with Ricky Carmichael, Bubba Stewart and Ken Roczen out there too. The crowd would have gone Apeshit when RC Doubled that last jump whilst doing a Sick inverted Whip, which didn't exist really then. Or Travis Pastrana popping a backflip over the finish line jump 😁😁😂👀. Either way, the modern guys, and bikes are good. But theses guys from this ear were just badass warriors!!!
She probably introduced him to Epstein.
Great races ! Thanks for sharing !
I would want anybody to win other than Dave Thorpe why I don’t know
Kelly swanson was a awesome rider Also late schoolboy bsma finals beat us like a noob on his kawi team green I was a year younger, we got the 93 rm 125 and did well on it, i thought it was a rocket compared to mx yam 92, until i got on are lee's cr that was a good bike, without any setting up was perfect for me
This was the hardest track I ever raced, it was just like it is here, I raced against Kelly swanson for a year in the 100s , I have a photo from my 3rd ever race with jon boy Barfoot lapping me, he must have dropped the boy lol
If Thorpe is the reigning champion why is he carrying the number five plate?
Why does everyone say he was a great interviewer he wasnt
Des hommes et des vrais machines de cross 2 tp la belle époque

I'd like to see Marci ride the sybian
Dude... thank you for showing my brother in the correct light. He is a great dude and got f... by the people he loved. His wife took everything. Everything he earned from risking his body, and to this day, he works his ass off and makes the best of it. #99 #MikeHealey
Lol Ricky you say dont get agressvie on the track you were one of the worse on the track and so am i! They get in my way i take there tire out or bang handlebars!! Just saying
This is awsome i hope kids watch this!! This video will give them heads up !! The dos and the dont i teach motorcross and i play this video before we jump on the bikes and hit the track!
Ricky your the one that made me who i am to day!! I have won so many motorcross races i lost track of them. I got use to kicking ass on the track! Thank you for all you have done in the motorcross world!! You ROCK. RJ.
This man was and still is the best motorcross rider this world will ever see!! No bulshit!
AMEN TO THAT BROTHER. i so agree with you. Miss the 80s....
Well.. Christmas day 2023, that passed nearly an hour on, and enjoyed every minute of it, I went to two of those british rounds that year curerdon Park and Boltby in Cumbria, I remember these action workshop days like it was yesterday, great times, I often wonder where they all are today. 👍
I didn't know this film existed. I peaked in 90-91, did win a couple Red Bud races, but I might have done better if I had this tape in 89. The mental aspect of my racing was weak. I could never race very close to my practice speed, accept for 2 times. :)
Wheatley was class
I would say, IMO, that if I had to pick who had lived the best life because of MX in Europe and in the USA, one from each continent, I would have to say: Europe: Roger DeCoster USA: Dave Arnold Note, neither came from a rich family or were government/power connected. It was all early industry opportunity, being at the right place at the right time with the right skills, and doing good work. So pure, just beautiful right?
I think the Bell Moto-4 helmet was the best looking helmet ever made for MX,------------ before the plastic inlay-ed, Darth Vader space face we put on our heads today. The last helmet with a round like shell, that works better than Mips with ridges on the shell (that grab the ground). I wish they would add some modern type foam, maybe improve the venting a bit, and bring it back. Oh,---along with a production version (but very close copy), of the 1983-85 Honda works bike. :)
Joel Smets was a monster on that Husaberg
Marci Twat, the fans know your dyed red hair.
Thank you for Posting this 👍…I was 14 yrs old in 82 & could Only see All my Heros in Magazines,Now I can Actually Watch them Race🦾💥🔥
